Callum McKay lives and works on Pender Island, B.C. Even though he grew up with an artistically talented mother and brother, Callum decided to pursue a career in a more technical field. After 12 years in Aviation, Aircraft Maintenance, and Aircraft Structural Engineering, Callum finally found his artistic calling in Stainless Steel. By combining his technical background and his artistic nature, Callum has been able to pursue a career in the arts out of the workshop he built on Pender Island. He has worked with a range of projects including distilleries, roof racks, furniture, outdoor and indoor water installations, decorative gates, signs, railings, and much, much more. After 25 years, Callum still prefers stainless steel as a medium.
